Gravy and her giant stick
We didn't have a lot of plans for the weekend so Sunday we decided to head up to Lucky Peak. We have a favorite spot up by the first dam, that you have to hike down to. We usually get there early and make a whole day out of it. We only had 3 kids (the other 2 were with their dad) and we invited a couple of friends.
Ember showed off how much she is learning in swim lessons and swam with everyone for the first time across the lake. She was having a blast and we are very proud of how much confidence she is gaining in herself.
Jalen and Autumn went out a couple of times, but they mostly stayed on the shore catching tadpoles.
This week we have been really busy with all the kids lessons and trying to get ready to go camping. We are really excited to head up to Stanley, mine and Chris's favorite area. We are going to a new campground with some new and old friends. Chris is excited to try out the trails (mountain biking not for me). We will be within walking distance of a couple of crystal clear mountain lakes and I am sure we will be spending most of the time in the water.
It is a biter sweet trip because once we are done Ember will be leaving to Utah. We try and make the last weekend as packed as possible so that nobody gets sad. We wont see her again until the middle of October. We have had a wonderful summer with her but I wish we didn't have to say goodbye for so long.
I will make sure and get all the pictures up from camping (I am sure there is going to be a ton. We have 3 people who ALWAYS have a camera in their hand) as soon as we get back.
