Behind a bit...

Wow! I didn't realize how far behind I have gotten lately. Lets do a quick recap of what I missed.

We went to a really fun circus The Wanderlust Circus. The kids have asked to go every time they are in town.

Ember, Chris and I went to the Twilight Criterium with a few friends.

Ember went to a honors camp at BSU. She wants to go back next year she enjoyed it so much.

The kids all went to California for vacation with their dad. It was weird not having them here for 10 days...kind of quiet.

We went to the annual Olsen family reunion. It was here this year at Chris's parents house, which was nice. We floated the Boise river and hung out with the family for a weekend.

I took Ember to her first fair, Canyon County fair. I haven't been there in a long time and I forgot how small it was compared to the Western Idaho fair. But she got to eat yummy food and at least see some of the things a fair has to offer.

Chris, Ember, and I went on a overnight hiking trip with a few friends. It was a lot of fun, but a lot of work too.

We then went to Utah and had a wonderful 4 days to spend with my sister and her family. I forget how much our families connect and we are hoping to do this every year.
At the end of this long weekend, we took Ember back to her mom. It is always hard to see her go, but we did enjoy every minute of her here. (luckily we get her for Labor day weekend)

We took a couple more things off our bucket list: build a fort and have a movie marathon.

We also finally got a chance to go to the zoo. (Sadly after Ember left)

Been really busy trying to get the kids ready for school.  We haven't done to much outside of the house as it is horribly smoky again this year due to fires. We will be headed to the fair next week, but with supply shopping and registrations, freshman orientations, meal planning/freezing, we won't do much more until it cools off a bit. We do have a few things planned for when Ember comes again...can't wait!
